Composition
The textile is meticulously handwoven using a tradition Guatemala backstrap loom. This is then fastened onto premium vegetable tanned leather that is hand-tied using a fine leather lace around the border of the belt. All of our belts only wear better over time as the natural fit forms to all waist sizes for both men and women.
Behind the Name:
Tecun, the last ruler of the K’iche’ Maya people, is a Guatemalan national hero. Tecun is infamous for entering battles adorned with precious quetzal feathers accompanied by Nahuati, his quetzal bird animal spirit guide.
