The textile is meticulously handwoven using a tradition Guatemala backstrap loom. This is then fastened onto premium vegetable tanned leather that is hand-tied using a fine leather lace around the border of the belt. All of our belts only wear better over time as the natural fit forms to all waist sizes for both men and women.
Behind the Name:Chicchan, the symbol associated with divinity and visions, represents the deity of the Heavenly Serpent who takes on many kinds of forms in Maya culture. Chicchan individuals are understood to be very charismatic, interested and intrigued by the serpent energy which signifies the connection between man and Higher Forces.
