The textile is meticulously handwoven using a tradition Guatemala backstrap loom. This is then fastened onto premium vegetable tanned leather that is hand-tied using a fine leather lace around the border of the belt. All of our belts only wear better over time as the natural fit forms to all waist sizes for both men and women.

Behind the Name:

Cabrakán was a Mayan god of earthquakes and mountains. He was the son of the gods Vucub Caquix and Chimalmat and plays a significant role early in the Popol Vuh where he is defeated by the Hero Twins as is his brother Zipacnagod of mountains and earthquakes.
